With
the growth of tourism in the 1980s, officials with Acadian Village organized
the building of the Pavilion. The Pavilion is an open area venue designed
with "bringing the outdoors in" in mind. With nearly 10,000
square feet under the roof, the Pavilion can accommodate over 500 guests.
The Pavilion has housed many local bands and other performers, including
plays and educational events. The size of the Pavilion has grown to
accommodate the growth of The Village. Today, visitors to local cook-offs,
concerts and company functions still sit at wooden picnic tables or
get comfortable with their own lawn chairs. During Noel Acadian au Village
(December), the Pavilion is "wrapped" to keep the elements
out and illuminated both inside and outside with thousands of lights.
Inside, patrons enjoy hot chocolate, local cuisine, local entertainment
and shop the arts and crafts booths.
The Pavilion is available for private rental. For more information please visit our Policies Page.
